All workshops and presentations are based on my book Write An Effective Funding Application: A Guide for Researchers and Scholars (The Johns Hopkins University Press). Costs vary by type of presentation:

Faculty Presentation (1 hour): Write an effective funding application

Topics covered include

•	how to organize your application
•	how to make your case
•	letters of support/letters of reference
•	writing tips specific to grant applications
•	the budget
•	before you submit – a checklist of things to make sure you’ve included
•	dealing with rejection
•	dealing with success

Faculty Workshop (3 hours): Write an effective funding application

Includes presentation as outlined above, plus 

 the examination of a less-than-successful written proposal from the point of view of a reviewer
 practice in creating a summary of actual projects in a way that makes the nature of the initiative clear and interesting to others
