Mary W. Walters works with academics from all disciplines as a writing consultant and editor on grant applications, journal articles, nominations for awards and fellowships, research profiles and scholarly biographies, web text, and a variety of other communications products. Recently, three new academic clients have had their first articles published in refereed journals.
Mary also assists individual writers and artists to develop effective funding applications and helps cultural and non-profit organizations with their grant-writing projects. She is the creator of three acclaimed audiocast series that are available at Write a Really Effective Funding Application.
Mary is the author of Write an Effective Funding Application: A Guide for Researchers and Scholars (The Johns Hopkins University Press). She offers workshops and seminars on grant-writing to university and cultural groups, assisting clients to meet specific needs and goals no matter what their disciplines, and at all stages of their careers.
